Special Sauce is a cycle of plays following The Holder family through generations of queerness and the Black experience.  The first short play in the cycle is Bolognese.  Baby Girl thinks she has found the love of her life, but, her ancestors Ultima, Grand D and Nana Ilsa aren't so sure she's going about developing the relationship properly.  

Special Sauce: Bolognese was staged at the Glitterbox Theater in 2025.  Springer drew from the excellent talents of members from the dynamic queer youth theater group,  Dreams Of Hope.
