Geroff A. Me’s Organic Hair Goodinator, Amulet, Early Pre-Renewal Period

Egunographer’s Statement: This amulet was donated to the Bridgetown Rift Center by No Me, a direct descendant Pre-Renewal Adornment Specialist, Geroff A. Me. Heavily influenced by and highly critical of the Afro Punk Movement of the 21st century, Bruh Me, as they were affectionately called, dedicated their life to developing the first Energy Shift technologies. It is still unclear what Bruh Me’s connection to the 21st century Matters Movement was. All that has been recollected is that it was heavily influenced by endangered panthers in 20th Century. Bruh Me is credited with the development of both The Braiding and The Weaving Ceremonies still in use by modern Egunographers. This amulet has been Authenticated by both Egunographers and Spiritechs. Geroff A. Me’s Energy Shift technology promoted the early understanding that there will be no better living through chemistry.


Phase 1


Phase 1 of Rebrand The Past was completed through a grant from The Pittsburgh Foundation's Advancing The Black Arts In Pittsburgh. During this first iteration, Futuristic Relics & Motherboards Sacred, I created and presented over 75 paintings, ritual objects, everyday tools, garments, temple icons and videos. In addition to beginning work on Phase 2, I am attempting to make a catalog of all the work completed to date.

​Each object is accompanied by text which describes the lives of our antecedents; how they resurrected society after White Plight; and/or how they adapted technology after the extinction of White People. ​The time periods I documented in Futuristic Relics & Motherboards Sacred are:

the Dangerous Times 2050 - 2117

the Renewal Period 2200 - 2500

It has shown in San Jose, Dayton and Pittsburgh. In November 2018, I had a solo show at the Irma Freeman Center for Imagination. That was beautiful and intense. In June of 2017, a good portion of the collection showed at the Dayton Visual Arts Center as part of Breathing Deeply: Pushing Back an exhibit curated by Michael Casselli. (You can read my artist statement for that show here.) Also in 2017, a few of my visual pieces had a temporary home at the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council's exhibit Matereal. Prior to that they showed at the Martin Luther King Library in San Jose, CA.

Each time, I have been pleasantly surprised by the positive response from all attendees. To some, it is a challenging premise. White people become extinct by 2117 and people merrily rebuild the world. I truly enjoy observing people who have attend. I’ve witnessed people’s shoulders relax with relief. Some point and holler with laughter. Ebullient high fives. Several women cried because they were so moved and touched by the section on reproduction. Over all, people want to believe this is our destiny. ​

Many would assume White audiences would have a negative experience with this exhibit. However, the numbers of White people who understand how it happened and accept it surprised me. They also seem to really like this future. They like the social structures and the way in which technology has been re-invented to be harmonious with nature. They want to be part of that future. But, more importantly, they are okay when I tell them the changes they make now in themselves is their job, and, that’s their work … not mine.

Egunographer’s Statement:This fragment is from a SpiriTech’s imaging of Mother Commander Svahairie’s brain. This remnant clearly demonstrates that every action or inaction contains the possibility to build or disintegrate a future. Every choice has a consequence.

The Timestream Authorities manage worlds in worlds. Sometimes the Timestream Authorities offer possibilities and choice. Sometimes, they close down pathways. This small section of a map shows that new worlds are in the constant process of being created and destroyed.

Egunographer’s Statement: It is known that, circa 2130, Black wimmin were besieged by Whypipo on the verge of White Plight. These wimmin formed almost impenetrable communities around children conceived under The Black Love Promise. Gestation periods lengthened. It was believed that genetic anomalies had occurred due to Severe Universal Unlove causing Wombic Rifts making children hesitant to be born. It would seem that these children carried a genetic resistance to absolute, unconditional, embracing love and trust.

Egunographer’s Statement: Early MPigs show that Whypipo and huemyns alike had a tendency to mock the ability of wimmin to use seashells, beads, feathers and whatever else was at hand to manifest their requirements. Spiritechs consider this to be the singular most important device discovered to date. Mami MsChantelle is the originator of all modern technology. Our deeper understanding energy manipulation did not occur until the day communication devices went dead and Mami MsChantalle was not amused. This device still contains vocal fragments of its first transmission, “Girl, I do not play. I am not having this nonsense. You better get the fuck home and help me figure out how we gonna deal with this mess.”

Egonographer’s Statement: Prior to the Early Renewal Period, females were subject to extreme violence. As the Matters Movement grew, lead primarily by Black wimmin, icons began to emerge celebrating women.

La Reina Madre/ Queen Mother, Partial Temple Icon, Pre-Renewal Period

Egunographer's Statement: Second only to “Una,” the icon known as La Reina Madre, is the earliest icon of the Early Pre-Renewal Period, predating even White Plight. Genetic testing confirms that she is a foremother of Mami Commander Svaha Irie. However, no conclusive testing confirms that these events are linked.

Super Wax’s Jaz Pyramid Raising Device, Hot Damn Motherboard, Renewal Period

Egunographer’s Statement: After many excavations of the Monongahela Territories, Super Wax, a virtuosic vinyl remixtress discovered the lost notebook of St John Coltrane which included some of his energy transfer formulas including the primary cipher hidden in “A Love Supreme.” This cipher lead her to the surviving Church of St John Coltrane in which his wife Alice had hidden the other remaining codex. Once connected to the other phrases and sequences, Super Wax built the first Energy Transfer structure equivalent to the ones in Egypt before the European corruption.

Egunographer's Statement: Whypipo gave energy with Christianity, a practice of torture, trickery, cannibalism, war and conquest. This extreme and violent philosophy drove entire nations of Whypipo to spread across the globe in an attempt to destroy all other forms of giving energy. All ATR practices went underground or cloaked their energy giving in Black Church. Amor Superior represent Black wimmin who refused to deny Black Jesus.
